Fleas, ticks, and chipping
This blog message may appear to be slanted towards the UK, but the message applies to all pet owners really.
In the UK the RSPCA are offering pet chipping sessions at various locations. Having your pet chipped helps track lost or stray animals - by placing a small microchip under the skin.
[Note: it is possible to get your pet chipped at your vets... check for details with them.]
Remember, too, the 'summer!' is the season for ticks and fleas.
There is a great deal of helpful information on the RSPCA website, plus articles of interest to all animal lovers.
Why not sign the worldwide campaign entitled 'Animals Matter To Me' - it will only take a moment of your time, and may make governments worldwide take notice. Do add your voice to the over half a million who have signed so far.
